Nazem I.Basha is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amwal Advisory Corp.

Before setting up Amwal Advisory Corp. in March 2006, Nazem was the CEO of Merrill Lynch - Bahrain, with Client dealings across the GCC, Middle East and MENA region.

Previous positions include:

• Director, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA): 2001 through 2003.
• Vice President - Private Banking, BNP Paribas (Bahrain) with responsibilities across the GCC, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt: 1992 through 2001.
• Vice President, Portfolio Management at Gulf International Bank (GIB) - Bahrain: 1987 through 1991.
• Head of the Investment Department, Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development - Kuwait: 1984 through 1987.

Nazem received his Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Economics and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
